In 2004, the Junior League of Richmond established the Junior Book & Author program, a literary event held in various local schools for young adults in grades 4-8. Now reimagined and in partnership with the Children's Museum of Richmond and bbgb books, Junior Book & Author welcomes children between the ages 0-12 who love stories to come to the Children's Museum of Richmond to hear from three local authors on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 3:30 - 4:30 PM! Our panel of authors will present their recent book and have a brief interview session where we can learn more about how they come up with ideas, the writing process, and more. Expect some audience interaction and fun! Book signings will follow the main event. This year's books and authors are: Round and Round the Year We Go by Carter Higgins (ages 0-3) Totally Turtles! by Ginjer Clarke (ages 4-8) White House Clubhouse by Sean O'Brien (ages 8-12) Individual tickets are $12.00 per person. Two ticket bundles are available for $20.00. Children who are less than 1 years old and sitting on laps (no concessions) do not require a ticket. Junior Book and Author is a collaborative fundraiser for the Junior League of Richmond and the Children's Museum of Richmond. Proceeds from this event support both nonprofit organizations.
